Camel Trekking

Camels are on each beach and a ride along the beach is fairly inexpensive if you just want to experience it. Alternatively, many of the horse riding companies will offer a short sunset camel ride or similar. If you have not ridden on a camel, give it a go – I find it particularly uncomfortable personally so best to try it before you book an excursion.

Camel Trekking in the Sahara Desert is a must do for those who which to experience the beauty and solitude of the desert on the oldest mode of transport in the desert.

Getting to the desert is an adventure in itself , basically getting from Marrakesh to the edge of the desert at Erg Chebbi by taxi or bus will introduce you to a way of life most Europeans will never imagine.

There are various tours available to you from 1 day to 1 week and available at all budgets. From an early morning breakfast trip for a few Euros, to a full blown Desert experience, camping under the stars and dining with locals.

This adventure is well worth the effort and will be an unforgettable experience. The guides are very knowledgeable and helpful and will do anything to ensure you get the most out of your trip. These must be booked in advance as they get full quickly.
